01 — The story

I grew up in a Mexican family of insurance agents. My father, my grandfather, my uncles and my cousins. I got my own license too. I know the agent's pain because I saw it at home as a child: policies lost for lack of follow-up, hours spent quoting, the client who never calls back.

Then I moved to the United States and spent several years in real estate. After the 2008 crisis I joined JPMorgan Chase, and there I learned how the most successful people manage their money and their investments.

Technology was always my passion. In 2012 I changed careers completely and went into software: first digital products, then artificial intelligence. I trained as an AI Engineer and earned certifications from IBM, Meta, Microsoft and Google.

Today I live in Spain. Montek operates in Mexico, the United States and Spain.

02 — Why these sectors

We didn't pick insurance, real estate and finance from a spreadsheet. We lived them from the inside.

Education came a different way. I've trained secondary school teachers to understand artificial intelligence, use it and stop fearing it. That's where I learned something that applies to every sector: technology only works when the people who will use it embrace it.

That's why every Montek solution is built with the vocabulary, the processes and the rules of the industry it will work in. A generic agent doesn't cut it.

03 — How we work

The problem first, the tool second. We build fast, in weeks, and you test it before it reaches your clients. Then we stay: we measure, adjust and improve with real data.

The person who understands your problem is the same person who writes the code.
